Summary
You are responsible for the general ledger accounting of three companies assigned to you. You will drive forward the quality and effectiveness of our accounting processes and ensure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to German Gaap (HGB).
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping and clear G/L accounts
- Process all matters related to the general ledger and asset accounting
- Manage the accounts of three smaller companies
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and prepare financial data for international branches during period-end closings
- Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. auditors and regulatory authorities)
Professional & personal qualifications
- Completed education/trainings as a tax advisor or in a comparable profession, or you are a certified financial accountant.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a similar position with extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Independence, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation,
- Reliability, commitment, and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs, especially Excel.
