Job Description
AI Engineer

Summary

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer with a strong background in data engineering or full-stack development, combined with hands-on experience building agentic or LLM-driven applications. The ideal candidate has a solid engineering foundation, understands modern AI tooling, and can design, build, and deploy production-grade AI-powered systems.

This role involves working on intelligent agents, automation pipelines, integrations, and AI-driven business workflows. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data teams to deliver reliable and innovative AI capabilities. The perfect candidate is data-driven, autonomous, and excited about starting projects from scratch.

Duties & responsibilities

AI/LLM Development

  • Implement and optimize agentic AI workflows.
  • Build LLM-powered features such as chatbots, automation agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and workflow assistants.
  • Fine-tune, evaluate, and benchmark models for performance, latency, and cost.
  • Implement evaluation frameworks for LLM-based agents.

Engineering & Integration

  • Implement production-grade backend services, APIs, and external systems integrations.
  • Develop data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and contribute to deployment workflows (Docker, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure).
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering on cloud platforms such as Azure, Databricks, and Airflow.

Front-End Collaboration

  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Next.js) is a plus, enabling effective collaboration with UI/UX teams and supporting full-stack development when needed.

Compliance & Governance (Optional)

  • Experience designing or deploying AI systems in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments, with an understanding of auditability, traceability, and data-privacy obligations.
  • Ability to work with compliance, legal, and security teams to ensure AI solutions meet governance standards, including required documentation, validation, and risk controls.

Professional & personal qualifications

Experience

  • 4–5 years in software engineering, data engineering, or full-stack development.
  • 1–2 years building agentic AI applications end-to-end.
  • Experience integrating APIs and microservices.

Technical Skills

  • Python (required); Node.js/TypeScript (plus).
  • Experience with agentic frameworks such as CrewAI, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar.
  • Familiarity with the LLM ecosystem (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models).
  • REST/GraphQL API development.
  • Experience with Azure (plus), Airflow, and Databricks (plus).

Behavioral & Collaboration Competencies

  • Data-driven and autonomous, with a passion for starting projects from scratch.
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively with product, engineering, compliance, and data teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document and validate AI solutions for governance and risk controls.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in AI-driven business workflows.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
