Summary
The Review Function (RF) is a central pillar of Scope Ratings’ internal control framework, operating independently across all analytical sectors—from financial institutions and corporates to structured, project, and public finance. As a second-line control function, RF ensures that credit rating methodologies are rigorous, systematic, and continuously aligned with regulatory expectations and market developments.
RF plays a strategic role in shaping Scope’s analytical integrity by reviewing and validating methodologies, models, and quantitative tools, and by monitoring credit trends and rating performance across the rated universe. It acts as a trusted counterpart to analytical teams, a key liaison with Independent Directors and Senior Management.
The Senior Director leads the execution of the methodology review and validation process, ensuring full compliance with RF procedures. This role combines deep analytical expertise with strategic oversight, contributing to the evolution of Scope’s methodological framework and reinforcing the robustness and transparency of its credit rating practices.
