Summary
Scope Ratings GmbH is looking for a Risk Manager in a dynamic credit rating agency. As a Risk Manager, you will be part of our EU-based Internal Control functions, based in Milan. You will support the senior managers of the credit rating agency and will work with functional teams at Scope. The Risk Manager is responsible for management of Scope Ratings GmbH non-financial risk management in a 3LoD model.
Duties & responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and propose appropriate mitigation/remediation for existing and future risks at Scope Ratings GmbH and it`s outsourced activities within Scope Group or third-party service providers
- Design and track relevant risk KPIs/KRIs with stakeholders and report on performance
- Embed a company appropriate risk management framework at Scope Ratings GmbH, outsourced activities or third-party service providers, encompassing risk appetite and risk tolerance thresholds, risk inventory, risk landscape and action plan, incident management amongst others
- Develop and maintain risk policies, procedures and control frameworks
- Maintain and moderate the Scope Rating GmbH Risk & Control Committee
- Guide senior management and train stakeholders on risk management through effective collaboration, reports and presentations
- Work with all stakeholders across Scope Ratings GmbH and outsourced service providers to embed strong risk management culture
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
- Prepare and present risk reports to Scope Ratings GmbH boards and relevant further bodies at group level
Professional & personal qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial industry
- Bachelor´s or master´s degree in business administration or in relevant field of business sciences and/or related work experience
- Experience in a regulatory environment is considered a plus
- Background as Consultant (Strategic or “Big Four”) is considered a plus
- Strong organizational, as well as very good analytical skills
- Understanding of diverse business processes and strategy developments
- Proven success in the efficient management of projects and processes
- Excellent writing skills and ability to process complex information and restitute it in a clear / well-structured manner
- Willingness to engage with highly specialized texts (economics, financial analysis)
- Proactive about learning new skills and improving existing processes
- Strong team player with high interpersonal and communication skills
- Leading to results and focus on solutions
- Multi-cultural, collaborative, self-starter, integrity, detail and target-oriented personality
- Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) computer skills
- Experience in a regulatory environment is considered a plus
- Background as Consultant (Strategic or “Big Four”) is considered a plus
- Fluency in at least a major European language (German and / or French preferred) in addition to English
