Associate Director - Business Control Management Rating Operation

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Control Manager to join our credit rating agency's dynamic team, focusing on reinforcing controls by the first line of business. As a Business Control Manager, your primary responsibility will be the design, implementation and reinforcement of processes to enhance first line controls within our organization. Your role will play a crucial part in maintaining and improving the effectiveness of our operational procedures and entails a significant amount of coordination and project management. 

Duties & responsibilities

  • Process Implementation: Design, develop, implement, and oversee robust processes and procedures within the first line of business. 
  • Control Enhancement: Collaborate with the first line of business to identify control weaknesses and design solutions to strengthen controls effectively. 
  • Monitoring of company KPIs and outsourcing agreements KPIs 
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for processes, procedures, and control enhancements, maintaining a clear and organized record of changes and updates. 
  • Project Management: Exhibit strong project management skills to drive initiatives related to control enhancement and process optimization, including the following specific projects: 
  • Coordination of Analyst Rotation: Oversee the coordination of analyst rotation within the first line of business, ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities. 
  • Revision of regulatory disclosure and reporting procedures: take the lead in revising all regulatory disclosure and reporting procedures to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations. 
  • Compliance: Ensure that all first line activities align with regulatory standards, and monitor compliance with

Professional & personal qualifications

  • Exceptional project and process management abilities; including track record of successful completion of projects 
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on delivering results 
  • Independent thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an eye for detail 
  • Excellent understanding of the three line of defense framework. 
  • Accountable and dynamic with the ability to work pro-actively in full autonomy. 
  • Multi-cultural, collaborative and detail-oriented personality 
  • Ability to understand broader business issues 
  • Outstanding interdisciplinary and organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Strong writing and communication skills 
  • Ability to present and justify milestones, timelines and progress of development 
  • Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) computer skills; Strong knowledge on dynamic project and workflow tools, e.g. JIRA, Asana, ARIS 
  • Certification in project or process management is considered a plus, e.g. IPMA, Prince 2, SCRUM 

The compensation range disclosed may encompass multiple title levels (Scope internal levels of seniority). Your actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to your individual experience, education, and seniority, and the final salary will be determined during the interview and evaluation process.

Pay Band:  Associate Director - Business Management
Minimum:  80,400.00 EUR
Maximum:  92,400.00 EUR

Bonus: Discretionary
