Specialist - Credit Policy

Summary

Scope Ratings is looking for a motivated credit and data professional to be based in Paris able to multitask in a fast-paced diversified environment. 

Credit Policy is responsible for monitoring the quality and robustness of the ratings produced by the analytical teams. As part of its oversight activities, Credit Policy monitors rating actions and rating performance metrics, review rating rationales and supporting documentation and conducts ad‑hoc thematic reviews. 

Credit Policy has ongoing communication with rating analysts across all sectors Financial Institutions, Corporates, Structured Finance, Project Finance, Sovereign and Public Finance. Credit Policy also works closely with Rating Operations and other Internal Control Functions of the rating agency. It plays a pivotal role in reinforcing and harmonizing Scope Ratings’ analytical capabilities, acting both as a strategic counterpart to analytical teams and reporting periodically to CRA management and the Independent Directors. 

Duties & responsibilities

  • Conducts review and analysis of datas on rating actions and rating performance metrics.
  • Leads the production and updates of key risk indicators and key performance indicators.
  • Develops and maintains dashboards and reporting tools.  
  • Develops AI monitoring tools.
  • Reviews analytical errors and oversees the reporting workflow.
  • Conducts ad-hoc analytical reviews.  
  • Develops efficient operational processes to strengthen controls on the rating activities.  
  • Performs data quality checks.  
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of governance, quality assurance, and oversight of rating activities.  

Professional & personal qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, business or engineering.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in credit risk analysis or financial services, gained within a regulated environment such as in credit rating agency, bank, asset manager or fixed-income investment firm.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.  
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills with a control mindset.
  • Strong competence in Microsoft Office skills especially Excel and Power Bi. AI skills needed. Programing skills are a plus.  
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work, including supporting documentation. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work collaboratively and independently in a team and is a multi-cultural environment.  
  • Curious, autonomous, and eager to learn, with strong critical thinking and listening skills.
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.  

The compensation range disclosed may encompass multiple title levels (Scope internal levels of seniority). Your actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to your individual experience, education, and seniority, and the final salary will be determined during the interview and evaluation process.
Pay Band:  Specialist - Credit Policy
Minimum:  61,200.00 EUR
Maximum:  81,000.00 EUR

Bonus: Contractual
